About Us

At Adirondack Legacy Aircraft LLC, we provide legacy aircraft to rent for endorsements and time building in Upstate New York.

We also have an AATD Virtual Fly flight simulator to use for training for your instrument rating, and instrument currency if you already are instrument rated.

All aircraft require a check out with an independently contracted CFI approved by Adirondack Legacy Aircraft LLC

How to Get Your Tailwheel Endorsement?

Getting your tailwheel endorsement is easy!

Need an instructor? Adirondack Legacy Aircraft can connect you with an approved independent contracted flight instructor to help you.

Tailwheel endorsements take around 5-10 hours, the weather and pilot skill will determine this amount as need. You will be learning and demonstrating: taxiing, 2-point, 3-point takeoffs, stalls, s-turns, forward slips to landing, 3-point, wheel landings, and crosswind landings.

Virtual Fly SOLO PRO G1 $50/hr - Based in Saratoga County Airport (5B2)

The Virtual Fly SOLO PRO G1 is an FAA Approved Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) designed to help students working on their instrument rating train more effectively while keeping costs low. This flight simulator represents the Cessna 182 G1000, a very popular instrument trainer.

Instrument Currency (14 CFR 61.57)

Can maintain IFR currency for much cheaper as this simulator is approved by the FAA for instrument approaches and holds. No instructor required either.

Allot Time Towards Certificates

Under 14 CFR Part 61 regulations, students can log up to 20 hours of simulator time for their Instrument Rating and up to 50 hours for their Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Instrument Proficiency Check

Can complete most of an Instrument Proficiency Check utilizing  this flight simulator. Cannot complete circling approach and landing from an instrument approach tasks however.
